TEAGUES GROVE HOME OWNERS ASSOCIATION OWNERS MEETING Minutes MAY 19, 2007
Meeting was called to order at 4:00 PM by John Hoyle, President. Other members present were Kent Baker, Tom Buckner and Russ Woolard. Eighteen homeowners were represented.
John Hoyle, TGHOA President introduced the Board of Directors. Tom Buckner as Vice President, Robert Stacy as Vice President, Russ Woolard as Secretary and Kent Baker remained as Treasurer. · Architecture – John Hoyle stated and discussion followed that an Architecture Committee must quickly be filled with 3 to 5 homeowners as required by the Covenants and Restrictions. Currently 3 Board members serve in this capacity. One Board Member would serve on the Committee to ensure oversight and adherence to the Covenants and Restrictions. · Covenants and Restrictions – John Hoyle also identified several areas of concern within the Covenants and Restrictions. John Ebuna has agreed to serve on this committee. Members are needed.
· Pool Bob Horton has agreed to serve as TGHOA Pool Chair Person. Transition of duties will take place over the next few weeks between Bob Horton and Russ Woolard. It was stated that we have had several expenses with the pool and we expect a new pool cover will be required at the end of the 2007 pool season costing approximately $1,400.00 to $1,600.00. Vendors are being identified for a safety pool cover such as Pro-Mesh and MeyCo. Pool keys are available for new families.
John Hoyle mentioned that the pool parking lot is being used after dark and that Tom Buckner and Greg Horner are evaluating lighting solutions for the parking area to discourage inappropriate activity.
· Social Chair Person – A replacement is needed to further family and community support. The Board believes that the gesture of delivering meals to new families should be continued. Social functions will continue to be supported.
· Newsletter – Kent Baker reported that the newsletter was revived and published land delivered last week.
· Web site Kent Baker was recognized for his contributions to the continuing enhancements to the web site such as the new Message Board. .
· Tom Buckner mentioned that a Basketball goal will be purchased and installed at the pool parking area. · Tom Bucker reported that the Pool Parking Lot was resurfaced this past week. An outstanding job was completed by the contractor.
· A Landscaping Committee needs to be formed. Russ Woolard to ask several homeowners of their interest. Pam Headrick and Lisa Buckner have volunteered to serve.
Treasurer's Report · Kent Baker presented the budget and answered home owners questions. Please access at <http://www.teaguesgrove.com/2007%20Budget.pdf>
· Dues and late fees were discussed. Late fees are being invoked.
Architectural Committee Report · John Hoyle discussed the duties and the scope of this committee. Need to add 2 to 3 homeowners to this committee. John Hoyle and Robert Stacy assumed responsibility. There will be a limit of 2 Directors assigned. · Outbuilding definition to be evaluated such as square footage minimum and maximum as well as material specifications. · John Hoyle stated that TGHOA may look into a Knox County speed and traffic assessment to evaluate a need for speed bumps as the result of increased speeding throughout TG.
There being no further business a motion was made to adjourn. The Spring TGHOA Owners Meeting adjourned at 4:45 P.M. EDT.
